Also, I just returned from a meeting in Vadito, wherein the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance: http://www.nmwild.org/about-us/ has created a proposal to annex the common lands of the Santa Barbara and Trampas Land Grants so that they can exploit it's resources. US Sen. Bingaman has already drafted a bill proposal for US Congress.
* The Santa Barbara Land Grant Association (SBLGA)will be meeting 10 April 6:00pm, tentatively to discuss and document their concerns.
* The LTLGA (Las Trampas Land Grant Association will meet 28 April 9:00 am to do the same. At 10:00 am we will meet jointly with the SBLGA to combine efforts.
* On 16 June we will meet jointly with the Picuris Land Grant leadership and with the leadership of all the Acequias of the Jicarilla Valley to create/discuss/submit our own proposal.
Pleas spread this information to all, whom you think may be interested....
We need your concerns, skills, talents, passion and even financial assistance.
The only agenda item for these meetings is this issue.
Supreme Court rules on U.S.A. Vz Arizona (US 567-2012) Regarding Enforcement of Federal Illegal Immigration Laws
• Disallowed state police to arrest any individual for suspicion of being an illegal immigrant
• Not constitutional to require legal immigrants to carry registration documents at all times
• Refused to make it a crime for an illegal immigrant to search for a job (or to hold one) in the state
• State Police allowed to investigate the immigration status of an individual stopped, detained, or arrested if there is reasonable suspicion that individual is in the country illegally
